Choose your carpet

Carpets to suit Brighton homes and lifestyles

Every home is different. We will show you real samples during your visit and help you choose the right carpet for each room, your budget and the people (and pets) living there.

Plush and saxony

Soft, luxurious and warm underfoot. A lovely choice for bedrooms and lounges where comfort matters most.

Twist pile

Tightly twisted yarn that hides footprints and wears well. One of the most popular all-round choices for family homes.

Loop pile and Berber

Hard-wearing and practical, with a textured, modern look. Ideal for hallways, stairs and busy rooms.

Wool carpets

Naturally resilient, warm and classic. A premium option for living rooms and bedrooms.

Stain-resistant

Treated fibres make spills easier to clean. A sensible choice for families, pets and rented homes.

Underlay

The right underlay makes a carpet feel better, last longer and, in flats, keeps the noise down for neighbours.

Brighton properties

Fitting carpets in Brighton's homes

Brighton has a real mix of property, from Georgian and Regency houses to Victorian terraces, seafront flats and modern new builds. Each has its own quirks, and we plan every job around the building.

Regency and Victorian terraces

Many Kemptown, Hanover and Seven Dials homes have original floorboards, high ceilings and staircases that need careful measuring. We check boards for movement, allow for bay windows and alcoves, and choose carpets that suit the character of the house.

Flats and apartments

In flats, we check the leaseholder's rules on carpets and underlay, which often include sound insulation for upper floors. We plan delivery and access around communal stairs, lifts and parking so the building stays tidy.

Family homes in Hove and Portslade

Family homes need hard-wearing carpets for hallways, stairs and playrooms. We suggest durable constructions and underlay that stand up to daily use, plus stain-resistant options for children and pets.

Period features and uneven floors

Older Brighton houses can have sloping floors and uneven boards. We level and prepare the floor where needed, so the carpet lies flat, stays tight and doesn't ripple or wear unevenly.

Stair carpets

Stair carpet fitting done properly

Stairs are one of the hardest parts of any carpet job, and one of the most noticeable when they go wrong. We measure every tread and riser, fit the carpet tightly, and finish neatly at the nosing and on the landing.

  • Each stair measured individually, not estimated
  • Secure fitting with gripper rods and neat turns
  • Clean finish at the top and bottom of the stairs
  • Choice of hard-wearing carpets built for stair traffic

Pricing

How much does carpet fitting cost in Brighton?

The cost depends on the size of the rooms, the carpet you choose, the underlay, whether there are stairs, and whether the old carpet needs removing. Because every home is different, we give a written quote after your free visit rather than a single figure online.

Your quote will show each item clearly, so you can compare it with other quotes and see exactly what you are paying for.
